Recording Actions
Actions are key to nurturing your network. The more actions you take, the more you’ll strengthen your network.
On Lime, each action you take goes a little way to increasing your Citizen Scores, as well as contributing to your Strategy Score, so you can keep track of how you’re doing.
There are four actions, one is recorded automatically, the other three you choose to do yourself.
View Profile
This one’s automatic if you use one of the links next to the person’s name to go to their profile or activity feed.
One of these two little guys in the search results (one goes to the profile page, one to a list of their recent activities):
Or here in the Connection Details panel:
Comments, DMs & Good Chats
Sprinkling good comments around your network’s content is always a good idea - and scores points in more ways than one.
DMs are for messages you’ve sent that don’t result in much of a chat - maybe you’ve done some outreach or pushed a useful link over to someone - that kind of thing.
Good chats are for when you’ve had a conversation with a connection on or off the platform.
You’ll know what falls under each of these headings. There are no rules.
To record any of these three in the Lime Interface, do it in the Connection Details panel:
1: Click on a name in the search results to get the panel on the right hand side
2: Click the plus icon:
3: Pick an activity
In the popup that appears, pick an activity and optionally enter a note to remind your future self what this was about.
4: Click Save & Close
That’s it! Your action appears in the history for that connection and your score goes up!
